GoldWing Touring Programme 2010 – Interested?
Alpine Touring takes you to a whole new motorcycling world
The Federation is hoping to increase touring opportunities for UK Wingers by offering and promoting GoldWing Tours during 2010. The Tours will include UK and abroad. They may be hotel based or camping tours; they may be one centre, two centres or roaming; any type of motorcycle touring will be considered.
Tours offered by any individual Winger (or by an individual for GoldWings) or by any GoldWing Club may be publicised as part of this Programme. Likewise the Federation’s own tours will be open to any Winger, not just Federation Clubs and Members. It’s all about increasing opportunities and providing choice.
We have resources to offer and lead a small number of Tours without additional help but there will also be support available for additional Tours providing Wingers come forward to lead them. The Federation will help with the planning and administration – providing Wingers come forward to offer to lead them.
This advance information about the Programme is your opportunity to express your personal interest – either as someone who is already running a GoldWing Tour for 2010 or would would like the opportunity to join one.
Wingers who have registered an interest in touring in response to this Notice will, once the programme is ready for release, be offered places before the Tours go on general offer.
We are particularly keen to hear from Wingers who are willing to consider leading a Tour. Being a Tour Leader isn’t much different from leading a group ride and you won’t be on your own; the Federation will provide planning, administration and troubleshooting assistance. If you fancy leading a tour this could be an easy way to start doing it.

I use to belong to the goldwing club and really enjoyed it however when it come to wanting to go abroud with them IF YOU ARE A SINGLE RIDER ITS A NO NO
so is there a club that is well orgagnized and allows sngle riders
I haven’t come across any club which won’t allow single riders to join in. I ride solo myself and the only problem I have come up against on tour is persuading other riders wives to take me under their wing and wash my socks etc. For some reasom they were happy to “supervise” me but not to do the socks!

What is Tour Week all about? Basically it is organised by S.A.T. Riders
once a year for all riders and friends,and their affiliated MCC’s they belong too.
Previous tour weeks have taken place in the Swiss Alps during the first week in September and the venue is changed each year. This year we are going into the fantastic French region of the Vercors and to the biker hotel “le Marronnier”. As usual, the Tour is based at a hotel which has en suite rooms and accommodation on a half board basis.
First time participants to the tour week have included a 1 year subscription to S.A.T Riders.
